BeskrivningThis is a one-page letter written in cursive handwriting in black ink. It is not dated and approximately 50 words in length. It has been written by Fela Berkman in Warsaw, Poland to the Pszenny family in Bondi, Australia.
In November 1938, Fela was six years old. She writes to her Aunt Stenia, Unlce Benjamin and cousin Romeczek Pszenny (Ron Penny).
Fela writes: "Dearests, It is already a few weeks past since Romeczeh turned two years. I wish him lots of health, may he have wealthy parents and may he grow into a healthy little boy. That beloved Romeczeh. How is your health? Write a few words to me. I study not too badly. The first term I got a good report. I'm healthy and I'm kissing you all. Yours, Fela"
Nothing was heard from the Berkman family after November 1939. Except for the three Pszenny family members who immigrated to Australia before the war, the entire family was murdered.
