It was probably taken in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia (now the capital of Slovakia), c. 1944. Eva was born while her parents were in hiding and was eventually taken to Bergen-Belsen with her grandmother. Eva is perhaps the youngest survivor of that concentration camp, being only 16-months old at liberation. Apart from two uncles who escaped to England in 1939, Eva was the only survivor of her large family.
