BeskrivningCertificate of detainment in Dachau, in English, issued to Ferenc Marton (b. 12 February 1914 in Koermend) by the Camp Office, Dachau. It is stamped by the UNRRA. It states that Ference Marton was detained in Dachau from 27/29 (?) April 1945 until he was liberated by the U.S. Army. Prior to his internment in Dachau, he had been interned in Buchenwald concentration camp. Two photographs of Mr Marton have been glued to the certificate. One, in colour, located in the top left-hand corner, shows him "After forty years in Sydney". The second, in black and white, located in the top right-hand corner, shows him as a much younger man. The stamp of the UNRRA overlaps this photo, indicating that it was probably originally attached this way. The photo obscures the issue date.
