On the quantitative dimension of mass murder at the Mauthausen concentration camp and its subcamps

In this article an overview of mortality among deportees was presented as it changed over time, in its geographical distribution and between prisoners divided by prisoner category and nationality. The different levels of mortality provides an insight into National Socialist annihilation policy. About half of all prisoners did not survive.
