Skirball Museum JCR Research Project: records and recollections

This article describes the Jewish Cultural Reconstruction (JCR) initiative of the Skirball Museum. This was among the first projects to investigate the subject of Nazi looted Judaica. Since that time documentation, provenance research and the work of restitution have eclipsed these early efforts.
