The minimum task of the Holocaust pedagogy is to rediscover the sanctity of life. There is a paradox concerning whether one can or should speak at all of the slaughter. Not only is the adequacy of language undermined, but Auschwitz denies the existence of a rational purpose and a transcendent meaning to life
