ОписаниеThis is the third of three typed letters (this one dated 23 Dec 1949) sent by the Australian Jewish Welfare Society (AJWS) and signed by W.L. Brand, its General Secretary, to Mrs Reder (mother of the donor) reminding her of her "promise to look for new accommodation." and stating that she will be removed from Chip-Chase in Greenwich to alternate accommodation at Chelsea Park on 15th Jan. The letters were all sent by Registered mail.
Chip Chase became known as the E H Komlos Memorial Hostel. It was administered by the AJWS for 16 years and was home to more than 1,500 people. It adhered strictly to the laws of Kashruth.
