Описание(a) A 2 page letter from the German War Claims Advisory Co. to Miss Henriette Norichow who lived in Bondi, NSW and Mr. Karl Heinz Norichow of the same address. This letter is in regards to their additional claims of resititution - re their parents and loss of property and valuables.
(b) Statement by the bank Kircholtes and Co - regarding successful claim and allocation of 1,960 German Marks in favour of Henriette and Karl Nerichow, dated 29 Jan. 1965.
(c) Reciept from M. Haben, Manager of War Claims advisory co of a fee from Henriette Norichow for "Trust and manipulation" - 15 Shillings.
(d) receipt from australia NZ bank of a deposit made by the German War Claims Advisory Co.
These documents are of significance as Henriette was sent to England aged 13 in 1938 due to the famous “Kindertransport” - the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940. Her brother Karl made his way to England in 1939 at the age of 17, they both migrated to Australia in 1957. These documents are a representation of Australian Jewish history and the Holocaust and its effects on Henriette and Karl’s life.
