Описание(a) Envelope - no letter - through internation red cross in Geneva - address is handwrritten and addressed to Frau Henriette Nerichow in England. Tape on the envelope reads "Opened by Examiner 6645" and is dated 30.06.1941
(b) Inside the envelope was typed instructions titled "Instructions for reply".
(c) Inside the envelope was typed instructions titled "Postal Cencorship".
Henriette was sent to England aged 13 in 1938 due to the famous “Kindertransport” - the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940. Her brother Karl made his way to England in 1939, they both migrated to Australia in 1957. This document is a representation of Australian Jewish history and the Holocaust and its effects on Henriette and Karl’s life.
