ОписаниеA four page German contract dated 2 May 1935 regarding Karl Heinz Nerichow’s admission as an apprentice in cabinet making in Dortmund, Germany. The document is composed of many paragraphs detailing the conditions of the apprenticeship. It is signed by Boris Nerichow, Karl and Henriette’s father. Karl was just 14 years old at the time.
Henriette Nerichow was sent to England aged 13 in 1938 due to “Kindertransport” - the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940. Her brother Karl Heinz Nerichow made his way to England in 1939, they both migrated to Australia in 1957.
