ОписаниеGroup of badges belonging to Maurice Ochert. Maurice Ochert was a member of the 2nd Bondi Judean Scouting Troop which was formed in 1927 by Edgar Kelson. The objects in this group include a green and gold rope and tassel, a metal 'Australian Jamboree Victoria 1935' badge, and a metal star on a red, circular felt background pin. There are also two 'New South Wales' tape badges and a '2nd Bondi (Judean)' tape badge as well as eight cloth badges including khaki green 'Boys Scouts' badges (3), a cream and green oval 'Boys Scouts' badge, a khaki and green Wolf Cubs badge, a 'Australian Jamboree Frankston Victoria 1935' badge and a 'Australasian Jamboree Sydney NSW 1938' badge.
Maurice Ochert has a longstanding connection with the Judean Scouting movement and recollections of his time in the troop are documented in 'Bondi Jewry Between the Wars', an article which featured in the Australian Jewish Historical Society Journal.
