ОписаниеSummons, addressed to Clara Dauerman living in Bellevue Hill, Sydney, 29 April 1966, from the Senior Prosecutor of the Supreme Court in Bremen, in which she is to give evidence as a witness on Friday 11 November 1966, in the criminal case against the former SS-Obersturmfuhrer Friedrich Hildebrand, for murder. “Regarding the importance of the case and in the interest of finding the truth, it is necessary that you appear in the court…” The summons indicates that her stay of 44 days in Bremen and expenses for the return journey will be covered by the Federal Republic of Germany. The letter further states that restitution for of loss of earnings and all necessary expenses in connection with the journey, will be reimbursed. “…A postponement of the summons will not be possible, as a great number of other witnesses from abroad has to take part in the trial.” The letter is signed by the First Prosecutor, Dr Hoffler.
