ОписаниеBlack and white pre-World War II photograph featuring a jewellery shop in a Polish town, possibly Ostrolenka, where the donor, Mala Sonnabend, was born. The jewellery shop belonged to her brother-in-law, Leon (Lofka) Levi. He is depicted standing in the doorway with his wife Zina Levi (nee Israel) - Zina is Mala's older sister. Man standing with the bicycle is unknown. Signs attached to the building advertise various wares that are sold, from clocks to machinery, bikes, musical instruments, gold and photography equipment.
Zina and Leon Levi migrated to Australia before the war. Leon set up a watchmaker business in Melbourne.
