ОписаниеThis Protection pass, issued by the Swiss Embassy in Hungary, enabled Pal Davidovics (Paul Davis) to take refuge in a "safe house", Number 29 Vadasz Street, Budapest. The Swiss and Swedish governments maintained several safe houses under the protection of their respective governments, enjoying diplomatic immunity and generally out of bounds to the German SS and their Hungarian collaborators. This protective pass provided protection from deportation to death camps.
