Selma Elly Godefroi was born on 1 January 1932 to Judith Godefroi (nee Abrahams) and Michel Jules Godefroi. The couple married in 1930 and lived in Amsterdam. Michel worked as an tertiary teacher in accounting. Selma had a younger sister, Franciska Juliette (2-8-1934).
There is little known of the family however records indicate that on 1 June 1943, the family transited through Camp Westerbork, before they were transported to Sobibor. They arrived on 4 June 1943 where they were murdered upon arrival.
Selma was best friends with the donors mother, Annie Mey. Annie has also written in Selma's poesie album.
