Polish Perception of Auschwitz.

In Israel and most other countries Auschwitz means the Shoah, the destruction of Jews during WW11. What it means to contempory Poles was a subject matter of a sociological survey which the author of this paper carried out in Poland in January 2000. This article discusses the major results of this survey.
