Описание

This article descusses the history of the Ashkenazi Jews in Italy from their arrival late in the 13th century until the 16th century. In the course of the centuries since then the Ashkeanzic culture disappeared in Italy except for the order of prayer. Part of the reason for this was the break of relations between Italy and Germany in the 16th century. The result was a transition to the use of Italian, the abandonment of the Ashkenazik pronunciation of Hebrew and the obsolescence of certain customs.
