Описание

Diaries of Uwe Radok, a young German engineer who was working in Scotland when WWII broke out. He was interned as an 'enemy alien' he was sent first to Canada and when that boat was torpedoed he was sent to Australia on the Dunera. He kept a series of diaries form 1940-1943 of his exepriences. the diaries offer a fascinating insight into life in wartime internment. In depicting the barriers to homosexual and bisexual love in the 1940s, they reveal a new element to the Dunera story that has gone unexplored. Shadowline is a powerful portrait of a man torn between his feelings and society's expectations.
