Описание

Looks at humanitarian aid organized by exiled Allied governments, with the help and often at the instigation of international Jewish agencies and activists. Despite the fact that the help from abroad could not bring relief to any substantial number of Jewish prisoners, the programs that developed in
Britain, the United States and especially Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey and Sweden offer a new perspective on humanitarian intervention during World War II.
