Описание

The data in this report is extracted from a public opinion survey conducted in Poland prior to the fiftieth anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. The purpose of the survey was to test Poles' factual knowledge of the Holocaust, and determine the importance of Holocaust memory to the Polish people. Furthermore, the survey aimed to examine Polish behavior toward Jews and other minorities. The results revealed that the majority of Poles believe that remembering the Holocaust is important, and many Poles connect their own suffering under the Nazis to the experience of Jews. Furthermore, Poles have a positive view of Polish behavior toward the Jews in relation to the Holocaust, and they also showed strong factual knowledge about key aspects of the Holocaust.
