Shows how it was above all, reflection on the Holocaust that triggered histories of memory. The Holocaust was not just an event of horrendous enormity in itself; it also cast a deep and lingering shadow over the post-war world, as individuals, groups, whole countries sought, in various ways and for various reasons connected respectively to questions of victimhood, perpetration and collaboration to come to terms with its legacy.
