Описание

Two books within one; the first is about Dieter Vaupel, a high school teacher who discovered a hidden past when he and his students began researching the history of Hessiech Lichtenau during the Nazi regime where thousands of slave labourers, including 1000 women and girls from Auschwitz were forced to work in one of the largest munitions factories in all of Europe.
The second is the memoir of Blanka Pudler, who as a 15 year old girl was sent to the town from Auschwitz as a slave labourer. Based on her accounts gained from interviews with her, Dieter Vaupal writes her story. The original German version was titled 'On a strange uninhabitable planet.'
