BeschrijvingPromotional flier for an Albera Mop and wax as well as for an electromagnetic dust removal brush. The company was founded and owned by Bedrich Fritz Albera (born Abeles). He changed as name from Abeles to Albera in 1933 at the suggestion of his mother since his business trading name was Albera.
Fritz was trained as a textile and chemical engineer. After working for various factories he established his own factory in Brno manufacturing floor waxes and polishes for floors and marble. He held a patent for these products and for a metal brush for thirty years but later lost the patents. After the war, his products continued to be produced by larger factories.
When the Germans invaded Czechoslovakia life became increasingly more difficult for Fritz and he was repeatedly harassed and even imprisoned. It was decided that he should flee. It is unknown whether or not Fritz’s factory was Aryanised or what happened to it but it was not returned to him after the war.
