BeschrijvingThis is a black and white photograph of a Girl Guide display at the Bradfield Jamboree in 1939. The display features a group of Girl Guides carrying flags standing in a circle around a large world globe with a flag on the top. A large crowd of spectators is visible in the distance. An Australasian Scout Jamboree was held at Bradfield Park on an old race course previously known as Cook’s Flat between December 1938 and January 1939. The Jamboree attracted Scouts from all over the world. Following the Jamboree, the site became a training depot for the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II.
