States that during the Holocaust, the principle patterns of solidarity among members of of the Zionist pioneering movements were based on communal self-organization. A broad range of communal configurations appeared during WWII. The shared foundations of these communal initiatives were tested to assess their resilience against the processes that Jewish society underwent during the Holocaust.
