Catholic church in Argentina and the confirmed reports of the extermination of European Jews (1942-1943)

The questions addressed in this paper are: What was the public opinion of the church? How did it influence public opinion on the Jewish question in light of the reports about the mass murder of European Jews? Did the Church speak with one voice? Did it embrace groups holding different, even conflicting views? If so, what were the views of Church leaders? Whom did they support, whom did they denounce, and what considerations were involved?
