During the 1990s Denmark, Sweden and Norway experienced increased public and political interest for the Holocaust as a history that should be addressed specifically. The Swedish prime minster established the public authority Forum for Living History whose mandate is to maintain the history of the Holocaust and, through remembrance, help to prevent a similar crime. Denmark and Norway have officially apologised for their immoral conduct towards Jews
