Sounds and silence: the post-Shoah poetry of Israel's German speaking olim

This essay seeks to bring attention to the poetry of the German-language authors in Israel, not only because of its contemporary testimonial to the traumatic events of the Shoah, but also because it is an example of high calibre writing from Central and South Eastern European as well as Oriental realms.
