Kolt recounts her movements from the Warsaw ghetto to the Otwock ghetto, and then describes how local Poles and relatives hid her and her sister in holiday homes in the Polish countryside to avoid being transported to Treblinka. Later, Catholic nuns took them in at a convent in Warsaw.
