Beschrijving

During the 1960s it became fashionable to use the term Holocaust to describe the Jewish catastrophe. Since then we have become aware that the Nazi genocide also claimed the lives of at least 130,000 Gypsies and 275,000 handicapped people. Nazi genocide was related to broader racial policies, but only Jews, Gypsies and handicapped people were slated for total annihilation and all three groups must be taken into account in any discussion of the Holocaust
