Beschrijving

The Freudenthal subcamp was set up at the Sudety foothills in Bruntal, Moravia. It was one of the three KL Auschwitz subcamps. The first transport of over 300 female prisoners was sent to Freudenthal subcamp on 4 October 1944. Most of the women were young even including 14-year-olds. They were mainly Hungarian and partly Czech Jewish women. The prisoners worked in the factory 10-12 hours a day. A male sub camp existed next to Freudenthal
