Confronting medicine during the Nazi period: autobiographical reflections

Examines his father's medical past during the Nazi era and asks why doctors of that era cooperated with the Nazis and believed they were acting ethically. They appeared to accept the racial beliefs current at the time. Subsequently, many of them resumed their medical activities and few seemed to examine whether their wartime activities were ethical.
