Child Holocaust survivors at Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek - the recorded tale unremembered

The population in Israel had little definitve knowledge of the Holocaust prior to the end of World War II. The survivors themselves did not recount their personal stories. Only when there developed a commemorative process several decades later did survivors step forward - when it was clear that there was an audience capable of being receptive to their narratives
