After Hitler: the last days of the Second World War in Europe.

On April 30 1945 Hitler committed suicide the following day his propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels also killed himself and the crumbling Third Reich passed to Admiral Karl Donitz. The Nazi position seemed hopeless. Yet remarkably the war in the rest of Europe went on for another 10 days.
