Over three million Jews lived in Poland before the Holocaust. Their communities in urban centers and rural areas, were dotted across the country. This guide describes the great spectrum of Jewish political life in Poland during the interwar years – the Zionist parties, Agudath Israel and the Bund – and examines the main problems faced by Polish Jewry and the solutions proposed by the various movements.
