The Bergson Group was an organization of Zionist activists which began initially as an advocacy group for Jewish rights. With the advent of World War II, and information about the Holocaust becoming known, their emphasis shifted to a campaign to rescue Jews, which included rallies, lobbying, and newspaper advertising. Samuel Merlin was one of the group's leaders
