Beschrijving

Between 1939 and 1945, the Nazis murdered six million Jews and looted Jewish assests currently valued at between $230 billion and $320 Billion. As Hitler's power grew, many Jewish families and businesses took advantage of the promise of secrecy and safe refuge and deposited their funds in Swiss banks. For over half a century since the end of WWII Swiss banks, enabled by a veil of secrecy withheld these funds from Holocaust victims and their heirs. In 2000 Judge Edward R Korman approved a historic settlement of 1.25 billion. This book introduces, explains and evaluates this complex litigation.
