The first authentic document about the uprising and destruction of the Warsaw ghetto. The memoir begins in 1942, when the first deportation order was issued. The author joined the underground and smuggled weapons in and people out. Because of her "Aryan" appearance, she was able to avoid detection outside the ghetto walls.
