Revolt

Bogen served as a Jewish partisan commander in the woods of eatern Poland (or Western Russia); this book consists chiefly of the drawings, etchings and woodcuts he produced to commemorate this period. Much of the material wascreated almost literaly "on the run" as the artist recorded events and people in places such as the Narocz Forest and the Vilna Ghetto. Text and captions in English and Yiddish
