[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]Embroidered velvet bag for Tefillin set (object M2001/003:001). Embroidery features red and yellow flowers, Star of David and Menorah. A Hebrew scholar has identified the Hebrew letters around the Star of David corresponding to numbers for the year 1938. The bag is personalised with embroidered name 'Zilberberg' and initial 'M'.
The Tefillin were used in Um Hasag Chestochowa concentration camp, Poland, by Jakob Herskovitch, brother of the donor Simon Hersh (Herskovitch). Jakob survived the camp and later died in Israel.
