[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]Postcard sent from Locarno hospital ‘La Carita,’ featuring a nursery, to Josef Schiffmann, Mezzoviro ? Labour Camp, Viena (campo di lavoro). It is dated 13.7 with no year, but most likely 1948 as Gisela's 2nd daughter Charlotte was born in July 1948.
She writes, "My dearest Joschi
Remember today a week ago! I received your card which depressed me a great deal, because of M. I am now very anxious. Mrs Berkowitz has so far not been here. I had infact already written 2 days ago. I am well, as is [illegible], who eats well and is getting bigger. That makes me so happy. Joschinko [possibly pet name for Josef] How are things with you? I expect you, if things are going well for you, on Saturday. Don’t be so sad, may G-d help that all goes well with M. [Illegible] I kiss always, also on your behalf. I so urgently need the box from Berkow, but perhaps she will still arrive. 10000 regards and kisses from ?Roggu? and Mädele.

Translators note: Mädele would translate as ‘little girl’, maybe the pet name used by Joschi for his beloved?
Curators note: Charlotte was born in July 1948
