[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]This is a pair of Scouting brassards belonging to Maurice Ochert. Maurice Ochert was a member of the 2nd Bondi Judean Scouting Troop which was formed in 1927 by Edgar Kelson. The brassards feature seven proficiency badges, black (2) and yellow (2) ribbons attached to the top of one brassard and a “Boy Scouts” fleur-de-lis.
Maurice Ochert has a longstanding connection with the Judean Scouting movement and recollections of his time in the troop are documented in “Bondi Jewry Between the Wars”, an article which featured in the Australian Jewish Historical Society Journal.
