Gubbay, who was killed on the Western Front, has no known grave and that crosses erected in Strand Military Cemetery in Belgium "did not mark known graves". It is signed by the Director-Gemeral, Miss Jacqui Browne. Private gubbay's name appears on the Menin Gate Memorial at Ypres, Belgium.
