[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]The photograph was taken in Germany, on the border of Austria, in a DP camp on 14 October 1946. It depicts some of the 50 people whose lives were saved by Mendel Fromer's quick thinking and heroic action of hiring a bus and transporting them to safety to escape the German bombing of Szczekociny in September 1939. Mendel is 3rd from the left on the top row.
