[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]Electroplated nickel silver trophy cup engraved: Maccabean Gymnasium Ladies Championship, 1931, Won by Ruth Goldberg, Presented by L. Opitz. Ruth Goldberg was an active competitor for the Maccabean Sports Association, which was part of the Maccabean Institute/NSW Jewish War Memorial, and was run out of the Maccabean Hall/NSW Jewish War Memorial building in Darlinghurst. She competed as a gymnast, runner and basketball player. The cup was made by Tilbury and Lewis, in Melbourne.
