[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]Circular, white-metal badge with pin for female relatives of men serving in war. A wreath goes along the outer edge of the badge and meets at an Imperial (King's) crown at the upper most point. In the centre of the badge is a map of Australia surrounded by another wreath and the words "To The Women of Australia". Suspended below is a bar with one bronze star. The year 1940, serial number 30442, maker's name "G & B Rodd", and words "Issued by the C'WLTH GOVT" are impressed on the reverse. This badge is from the collection of Australian Jewish serviceman Alfred Davis who was a wireless translator and intelligence officer in WWII, primarily serving in the Philippines. Could have belonged to Flora Davis.
