[nb-NO]Title[nb-NO]Zeugnis
[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]Typed letter of reference, in German, on official letterhead from the office of Richard Feuer & Co., Gesellschaft fur Gasgluhlicht-Industrie (Society for the Gas Light Industry) in Berlin, dated 15 November 1920. It serves as a reference for Walter Plotke's apprenticeship there. It reports that Walter's performance was good on all accounts and that the company would keep him on as a correspondent after his training was completed. This letter is one of ten documents recording Walter's employment at Richard Feuer & Co. and OSRAM from 1920 to 1933, when his employment was terminated because he was a Jew. These documents illustrate the implementation of discrimination tactics against Jews in the German workforce during the build-up to WWII.
