[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]French driver's license (printed on pink card) issued to Joseph Katz on 21-12-1939 Number 3465m. Before the war Joseph earned a living as a truck driver and mechanic and at the end of 1939 he volunteered with the French army as a driver/mechanic. In 1942 Joseph was approached to do some driving for the local Marquis. In August 1942 Joseph was driving on one of such mission with a truck loaded with cauliflowers but hidden underneath were guns and ammunitions. He was stopped by a patrol and shot in the left leg while trying to escape. He was interrogated and deported to concentration camps.
