[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]Tefillin bag, deep blue velvet, embroidered on both sides in heavy gold thread and beading. One side features a Magen David with the Hebrew date 5660 (corresponding to 1900 C.E.) in the centre. The other side is embellished with a floral design and what appears to be initials. This bag was originally owned by Dr Edward Kristeller, grandfather of the donor. He served in the German Army as a Medical Corps Colonel in World War I (see accompanying notes in file).
