[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
A range of previously un-displayed Judaica objects connected to Bratislava. The exhibits were drawn from the collections of the Museum and other prominent Slovak institutions, and presented in conjunction with the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives in Budapest. Objects, including precious textiles from Bratislava synagogues, commemorate rabbis, scholars and important events in the life of the city’s Jewish community. Extensive essay by Jana Švantnerová on the synagogue textiles, followed by catalog of 29 exhibited objects, each with full-page illustration and in-depth entry. No itemized listing.
